Nyteowl is Minneapolis, MN USA artist, producer, and DJ Jeremiah Conlon. The Nyteowl sound is personified by melodic synth heavy songs and crooning vocals. 2011 showcases a sound more inspired by late 70's and early 80's Detroit RnB, more than their electro contemporaries, taking from funk, disco, and boogie.
In 2008, Nyteowl had 2 remixes chosen by Boombass and Zdar of French electronic music pioneers Cassius (EMI/Virgin/Astralwerks) from a pool of 500+ remixes for a project called the Cassius Workshop. Interviews with Nyteowl have appeared in TSUGI Magazine France for Cassius Workshop (January 2008) and in Future Music Magazine (Hot Pick) for their song "Sustain".
Nyteowl has created remixes (official) for the Black Ghost (Simon Lord and Touche), Crystal Castles (SLU Record *canceled*), and Cassius (Cassius Workshop). Nyteowl has DJ support from PIG Radio (Italy), Air France, Boy-8 bit, Touche, J F K, Max Paske, Acid Jacks, and has provided 3 guest DJ mixes for Minneapolis radio, 89.3 "the Current" FM. Nyteowl is also a DJ at Minneapolis venues, including First Avenue's "Too Much Love".
Finally, Nyteowl started playing live shows in October 2008. After taking one year off in May 2010, current members, including Tim Clausen (Drums), Brock Lammers (Synth), Raechel Bosch (Guitar/Backup Vox) and Jeremiah Conlon (Vox/Back up Synth) plan on playing shows again in Summer 2011, to support their new sound.
